Nobody set out to invent a category. The podium made us.
The category
For a long time the only options were the real thing or an apology for it. Something quieter, something with a bit taken out, something you explained while you poured it. Both of those are still wine. We wanted a third answer.
Energy drinks did not exist until somebody decided they did. Neither did Celebration Water. It is not a wine and it is not pretending to be one: spring water and tea, a touch of Vidal Late Harvest for fruit and body, under real cork and real pressure, less than 0.5% alc./vol. Made for the moment rather than the meal.
The reason
This started inside Canadian motorsport, watching podium sprays get shorter and shorter. Drivers dodging the bottle, junior classes handed a trophy and nothing to shake, and a photograph that used to define the sport quietly going out of fashion.
The bottle was the problem. So we went and made a different bottle.
What we insisted on
Real cork under real pressure, because a screw cap is a different ceremony. A bottle that holds a shake and gives it back, because a celebration you have to be careful with is not one. And the alcohol number on the front, where nobody has to ask for it.
